You might already know the power of project management software, but the skillful application of it into your virtual meeting can lead to dramatic boosts in collaboration for your team. These tools allow for individuals to keep track of their workload and have transparency with their direct supervisor. The next is collaborative tools which enable teams from all across organizations and outside partners to build and collaborate on projects. Finally, integrated tools allow managers to see and manage multiple projects at once and assess and adjust the need for the complexity and interconnectivity of these projects. Other notable features of these types of software include cloud-based solutions, combine workflow tools in one place, keep teams accountable, easy documentation, keeping track of budgets.
The feature I want to highlight today is how you can use these types of software to make meetings more meaningful. Adopting these types of software allows for an open and organized flow of information across and between teams. During a meeting, your team can pull up a project board virtual and look at deliverables, timeline, budget, and actively work on identifying bottlenecks or other problematic areas due to communication of unidentified aspects that are causing problems. Now your virtual meeting can serve as a project work session along with an accountability check.
These tools are also good for brainstorming. They can be edited by multiple people simultaneously or edited by a designated notetaker. Your team can easily recognize tasks or assignments and manipulate boards as needed. This software often includes whiteboard simulators as well if your group prefers to brainstorm in that way.
